How HungryPets audits a product record before Google can index it

A large archive can produce thousands of URLs quickly. HungryPets takes the opposite approach: the page count follows the evidence that survives a deterministic publication gate.

Discovery records remain useful for internal research and noindex browsing, but Google only receives a product URL when the identity, provenance and decision value are strong enough to defend.

01

Establish an exact and stable identity

The entity must belong to the pet-food sector and have an exact GTIN or another explicitly approved exact identity. Name similarity, a shared brand or a likely pack is not enough.

The canonical record keeps source-specific identifiers and does not merge records merely to increase apparent coverage. Conflicting observations remain separate.

02

Choose the evidence route without mixing source classes

The evidence-fusion route requires at least two approved independent non-commercial sources and two meaningful visible fact groups. The narrower GTIN report route requires a substantive openly licensed label plus at least two governed commercial observations attached to the same exact product identity.

Commercial observations can corroborate identity and dated market presence only; they never validate ingredients, analytical values, safety or suitability. Each public block retains its own reuse class, date and source role.

  • Correct sector owner
  • Exact GTIN
  • Substantive open label
  • Two exact identity observations
  • Source classes separated
  • Rights, dates and public link
03

Test the page and its surrounding hubs

The record page, structured data and sitemap all use the same gate. A category or manufacturer hub needs at least three passing child records so that a thin grouping cannot bypass the record rule.

Query states, comparison selections, contact pages, unqualified product entities and temporary hosts stay out of the canonical sitemap. An exact FSA-reference report may be indexed as a report about that notice without qualifying a reusable product entity.

04

Publish only the rows that pass today

The 15 August audited launch set had no entity that passed the full two-non-commercial-source evidence-fusion gate. Three separate Atlas rows passed the source-separated GTIN report gate; the current daily report is authoritative as the larger indexes change.

New product URLs appear automatically when governed imports create qualifying evidence. The target is not a quota; it is a durable, source-linked page that can update without changing the meaning of the identity.

Practical takeaway

HungryPets expands the sitemap when evidence passes, not when a template can be filled.
